Gold 'n' Glory Official Trailer

Gold 'n' Glory Description

Gold 'n' Glory, originally known as Death by Gold, is a team-based PvP game. This game is essentially a team deathmatch, your objective is to defeat the other team. Your main goal is to get enough kills to win the game. However, in this interpretation of team deathmatch, you have a shop in your team's spawn. This shop allows you to purchase upgraded gear, weapons and other perks such as food and healing items. You'll only be able to buy these items with gold, which is only found at the very centre of the map. Fight for the centre, get gold, upgrade your gear and become glorious.

All about the Deathmatch

In Gold 'n' Glory, there are two teams. These teams are purple and cyan. You'll be able to choose these teams at spawn. Before you start any team deathmatch, you'll have to decide on a score you want to aim for. This score is by default, set to 100. This score is how many kills your team needs before the game determines a winner. The higher this score is set, the longer games will usually last. You can change this score goal at spawn if no game is active. To start the game, you can press the button at your team's spawn point, both teams need to "ready up" for the game to start. Kills are counted through a locked item in your inventory. This item can not be moved or dropped by the player. The item will only drop once you die, and this item is then used to award the closest player on the opposing team a kill. All player's kills for each team are totalled up and compared to the score you are aiming for.

All about the Team Shops

Each team, purple and cyan, have a shop in their spawn point. This shop is locked to your team only, just like your spawn point. You'll only be able to make purchases in this shop once you respawn. Any purchases you make are only available during that respawn. If you die, all items (including upgrades) are lost and deleted from the game. It should be noted that any food, golden apples or arrows are not deleted once you die. You can find these dropped items where you died if they haven't already been taken by someone else. Purchases require gold, which is only obtainable from the centre of the map. Collected gold is automatically cleared from your inventory and added to a scoreboard visible on the side of your screen. Gold is not lost on death. The store offers a range of weapon and armour upgrades, additional weapons and food/healing items. A list of all purchasable items can be found here.
